The legend goes that “Cloudwalker” was summoned by the Great Spirit to be initiated into Shaman-hood during the North American Indian ritual of the Sundance, honoring women. At this point in time, the feminine is reviving itself to balance and harmonize the male energy that has been with us for millennia. Meanwhile, our Mother Earth is preparing for the changes about to occur as the female and male energies converge. “Cloudwalker” appears as our spiritual midwife to guide us through our birth into this new existence. Until this year, all of my compositions have been exclusively for solo acoustic piano. I met Andy Mitran and Al Jewer in New Orleans during the ZMR music awards. From the beginning of our friendship, their personalities and spirits were warm and welcoming, but I had no idea how much fun it would be to learn digital recording and contribute to this collaborative effort! This piece is also released on their album “Transmigration.”
