There are aspects of myself that I don’t often acknowledge. Maybe I’m too busy trying to look like I have it all together, or I’m too scared to let my guard down. I find myself continually inspired by all the children and grandchildren in my life and have learned about some hidden parts of myself by observing them. I’m still learning how important playful mischievousness is in my own self-discovery. It’s wonderful to watch the natural creative explorations of kids — although they’re never quite sure if it’s going to be okay with the adults around them. These explorations are often accompanied by a cautious over-the-shoulder glance to see who might be watching...
